Quickbooks Merchant Services Payment Processor - in development! chip in!
September 26, 2010, 02:40:43 pm
Hello everyone!

We are currently developing a Payment Processor Plugin for Quickbooks Merchant Services (a payment gateway offered by intuit).  Our client insisted on getting their payment processing via this gateway as it offered the lowest cost solution to Quickbooks integration - something we had never considered!

We were able to use a QBMS processor for Ubercart that was just recently released, however, none was available for their CiviCRM implementation.  So we have begun to develop it, however our client is a small organization that can't really afford to pay for the entire project.

We would love to see if other organizations or firms would like to chip in on the development, whether with funds or code.  We will be posting our code on our git repo soon, and will make it available to everyone via this post.

Is anyone interested in lending this project a hand?

Hi,

I've been dragging my heels on a request to quote on doing this so there is at least one other organisation currently with a high level of interest in this. It's likely the organisation is using Joomla so wouldn't want a drupal only solution

Eileen,

Great to hear from you!  We have been using your code as reference in the course of the project, it is very excellent.  Are you saying that you are interested in collaborating on the code for this project?  We would love to make it a cross-CMS and standalone solution.

Our client also desires recurring payment functionality, though this is something we cannot easily deliver with what they can afford.  What is the scope of your client's project?  Since you are far more experienced with building payment processors for CiviCRM, what do you think this project will take?

Thanks for your help!

Richard (re.rooting design collaborative)

Not sure from reading the threads, but is there a solution to use quickbooks merchant services available yet? If so how do I implement?

Thanks.

Has there been any further progress on developing this payment module?
The one referenced in the thread that is already available (http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-6705) is not working for us. There seems to be no support for it and the instructions are lacking.
We are in great need of this as our client is very attached to using QBMS because of the ease of integration with Quickbooks.

You might want to consider pushing that code forward and making it work and/or hiring someone to do the needful. In general we estimate that a payment processor takes between 30-50 hours of work / testing / maintainance

this has come up in the past, so definitely a valuable extension

Is this payment processor in development? If so who can I talk to about it? thanks.

I found this

https://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/pages/diffpages.action?pageId=66551898&originalId=85721111

and this

https://github.com/webaccess/CiviCRM-Intuit-Payment-Processor

Do these work with Civi 4.6X? thanks
