Export primary fields after 3.2 upgrade
September 27, 2010, 09:25:32 am
For two separate clients on different servers, both recently upgraded to 3.2, i've just had failed exports of primary fields of largish (1000) but not outrageous groups. They are just simple groups, not smart groups, so the sql should be reasonable, but they're timing out with the mysqld process chewing up the cpu (120%!) and i've got entries in my msyql long query log that look like the sql being generated is monstrous.

In one of the cases, a much larger export (8000) worked when i specified the export fields, so I'm going to guess it's doing a bad join to try and pull some kind of extra data (maybe related to http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-6161)?

Any similar experiences or clues out there?

Yes, I'm seeing the same behavior at a client of mine - happened in 3.2.3, still happens in 3.2.5. I'm going to try to narrow down which field(s) are causing the problem, but was hoping someone else had beat me to it.

I just had this problem too. :( Has anyone found a solution?

Export with primary fields:, mysql CPU goes way high (over 100%), browser waits and waits and I give up eventually.
Export with internal contact id, email address works right away.
