increasing delivery: civismtp vs. vertical response?
September 30, 2010, 01:58:22 am
hi folks,

we've been running civimail for several years now, but our email list has been getting more and more "bounces" that are really ISPs refusing emails as potential spam: not only are the emails not delivered, but the addresses are marked "on hold" without distinction from real failures (ie. email address closed, etc.).

so... we're looking at options for increasing delivery w/o lots of work on whitelisting, SPF, etc.

civismtp looks like a promising option, but of course is a small (one-person?) operation.  what have peoples' experiences been like with delivery, especially compared with the "big guys"?

secondly, vertical response has a free-for-NPOs 10k/mo service that would meet our needs, if we could still maintain the list through civicrm.  anyone have experience with civi<->VR integration?

really appreciate the feedback.  thanks!

I use Civismtp and it provides excellent delivery and service.
