Print Contact Page Only Has Name

When looking at a contact there is a link to print the contact. When clicking that link all we get is a page that has the contact's name and nothing else. There is a line in the source:

<!-- .tpl file invoked: CRM/Contact/Page/View/Print.tpl. Call via form.tpl if we have a form in the page. -->

but that print.tpl never seems to execute (putting extra text in there, etc. does nothing). Anyone have any ideas?

What are your CiviCRM and Drupal/Joomla versions?

Anyone have any ideas we cannot print contacts at all it is very sad :(

You should get something like: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contact/view/print?reset=1&print=1&cid=102

Right all I get is the contact record name and in the source it says:

But no output from that .tpl. Perhaps there is a javascript problem?

Do you get any errors javascript errors?
Can you attach screenshot of your contact summary page

This might be something related to your theme. May be use CiviCRM Theme module ( http://drupal.org/project/civicrm_theme ) to change CiviCRM theme to garland etc and check if that works.

Was a good idea but even Garland doesn't work still shows just the contact name.

BUT, I see 2 print icons, one on the outside of the record and one inside. Clicking the outside brings up a sort of print page at this URL:

http://www.aincolorado.org/civicrm/contact/view?cid=19305&snippet=2

But that other link still just shows the contact name:

http://www.aincolorado.org/civicrm/contact/view/print?reset=1&print=1&cid=19305

Strange.. can try to clear your files/civicrm/templates_c directory and check if that helps? If not I would suggest upgrade to latest release.
