is not of type String
October 01, 2010, 05:07:41 am
Since my upgrade to 3.2.3 I got two places with this error (is not of type String). Editing groups with a title longer then 32 chars. And when importing contacts from a csv? I'm not able to replay this on the demo civicrm site. But the codebase is exactly the same as the package I downloaded from the civicrm website. Could there be something wrong with my php version(5.2) or mysql settings?

thx

Stijn

i recently ran into this issue with civicrm 3.2 and hence patched the code base (and hence u dont see the same error on demo)

we need to do a better job with error handling and reporting this error to the user if they type a group name > 63 chars

So groups can't have titles longer than 32 characters now?  ???

This is really limiting. We have many users and groups, and need to be able to give them readable distinguishing names that make sense. This is made very difficult with only 32 characters.
