Minor CSS Revisions to Civicrm.css
October 05, 2010, 08:33:03 am
Good Morning,

I'm not to versed in CSS although I can usually make small modifications and updates. The civicrm.css file has a TON of css classes and I'm not quite sure which ones I need to change for the following edits:

  • Add more room for the field labels. They are currently limited to a small margin which I would like to extend.
  • Bring the "help text" up closer to the field. It's currently spacing down by about two lines
  • If possible, create a linebreak to separate certain sections of the form so it flows easier

Thank you! You can see the attached photo for a reference of what I am talking about

Hi,

What version are you using ?

Otherwise, learn firebug, it will help you finding what needs to be changed (you click on the element, it tells you what css rules are applied to it). Lifesaver.

Last but not the least, add a custom css instead of changing the default one. You will have much less painful upgrade experience next time.

Hi Xavier,

Thanks for the response. I think I have used firebug before but I wasn't quite sure how to use it, I'll try again.
