Hello,

I believe I have completely setup CiviCRM on my Joomla site. I have imported all of my Joomla users (which are organizations, not individuals) as well and now would like to link them users to their CiviCRM profile. I first tried testing this by creating a new Civi Organization via a custom profile registration form on the front end, this is set to force the creation of Joomla User account. I then logged into Joomla with this new profile and attempted to use the "View Profile" function from the meny but I received the "You do not have permission to view this contact record". Am I missing something or is this a common issue?

For anyone who has this issue in the future, here was my problem:

*Instead of syncing the civi users with my Joomla users, I instead imported data from Community Builder. I did this primarily because the sync feature imports contacts as individuals and does not allow them to be added as organizations.

*Once I had all the imported organizations, I then sycn'd using the the "Administrator" > "Manage" > "Syncronize Users to Contacts". This updated all of my imported organizations with their Joomla user id and this, created the permission needed for logged in users to access their profile.
