Database name change
October 06, 2010, 10:05:51 am
Hello everyone,

So far I have found the information on the site to be pretty informative and helpful but I seem to have missed something I think is a simple fix.  My version CiviCRM is on a shared server that adds the auto name feature to database.  So the installer is looking for a missing database.

Could someone please kindly point to the correct area(s) to update the link to the db to fix this error.

I have been looking around but seemed to have come up empty on the areas to update.

Thanks and have a great day!

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but you can view and edit the CiviCRM database connect string in two civicrm.settings.php files, in .../administrator/components/com_civicrm and .../components/com_civicrm

My old system:
Drupal database name: drupal7
CiviCRM database name: civcrmdpl7
New System:
Drupal database name: Dpl7test
CiviCRM database name: civitest
I configed CiviCRM module on the old system and moved the same CiviCRM module to new system using these steps: http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/Moving+an+Existing+CiviCRM+Installation+from+one+Drupal+frontend+to+another
So i am asking how to change database name where civicrm holds its data.
