User Profile View: Is there a way to break up or tab the information?

We have a lot of information on our profiles. From the admin view, it's easy to view because of the tabs however on the user view, it shows one continual profile. Is it possible to break it up into tabs? Or, is it possible to click "View Profile" and then be presented with a list of possible profiles, such as "Contact Information" and "Location Information" etc.
