Add new CiviCRM permission, display warning to admin users on public forms
October 08, 2010, 10:07:07 am
Suggestion:

1. Add new CiviCRM permission "display warning on public forms" appropriate for admin or editor level users
2. If a person is logged in, has the appropriate role/permission combo, they will see a warning on any public contribution form like so:

"You are currently logged in as user: USERNAME.  Any data you submit on this form will be associated with your CiviCRM contact record, not someone else's record.  If you wish to submit for someone else, please use the admin area of the site or log out."

I can do this with Custom TPL stuff, but it would be nice not to have to.

Despite all the training I can do, I'm getting a shocking number of untrained interns at multiple clients entering contributions/registrations for other people on public forms while they are logged in as themselves.

Hi,

Would suggest instead doing what I did on the event registration:

Add a "welcome Xavier Dutoit, not Xavier or want to register someone else ?"

By clicking on the link, it allows to register as an anonymous user.

Have a look at the code, not rocket science, and you could easily implement it as well for contribution and the other forms you need it.

What do you think ?

Good idea.  I'll look at your code and adapt it.
