generate certificates in pdf?
October 08, 2010, 11:00:36 am
I need to know if it is possible to attach customized pdfs to the emails, like assistance certificates. They should be created on the fly, from templates, to take name, surename, etc. How can I do so or is there any component to do it? I trying to organize a conference and I have many different profiles, and many different attached pdfs to send. Thanks!!

you will need to do this via hooks:

http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC32/CiviCRM+hook+specification

maybe the postProcess hook  and the mailAlter hook if i had to guess

Thanks, Lobo!! I ve been reading about it, but I don t completely understand what should I write in the civicrmHooks.php file. I m not a programmer, and I can see there's some code I have to add. Isn't there another exension or plugin I can install to do this?
Thanks a lot!

No there is not presently any ready-made tool to do this. There was a blog post here http://civicrm.org/blogs/hershel/civicrm-ticketing-and-attendance about such a tool, but it doesn't do exactly what you want nor is it up to date for the latest version of CiviCRM.

Seems that you will need to hire a programmer for this task. As far as I can tell.
