Hi there

I have a new installation of drupal and civicrm.  I have gone through and deleted all the test contacts but I cannot seem to get rid of one of them. I noticed the were signed up for an event which I deleted.  Tried again and still I could not delete them. THe record is called 'Inner City Arts'

You won't be able to delete yourself (or rather, the civicrm id associated with the uid 1 in drupal).

This would appear to be the issue then as the record does have the id of 1

What is the best way of handling this?  Should I just change the information to someone else.  It is showing as an organization. How can I change it to an individual?

You should know that all users get an individual CiviCRM record, and you shouldn't try to delete them. It shouldn't be an organization, it should be an individual, but it might be messed up ...

Cleaning up your contacts is nice, but it's probably better to edit than delete.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Actually I was only trying to delete the dummy data that Civi puts in on a clean install.  I guess it would be nice to have a way of deleting these without ending up trying to sort our why it did not delete!

Anyway I have yet to see anything anywhere near as good as Civi. It is so good, especially on Drupal that I am switching from Joomla.
