I was happy to discover that mod_date_high & mod_date_low are valid API params & include the civicrm_log table. However, when the query is run it seems that even if I am using the contribution api the mod_date_low & high refer to the contact. It also seems to me that no record is entered into civicrm_log when the contribution is created so my ideas about how to use this were misplaced....

I presume after 3.3 we might be able to implement this across the APIs...
