Thinking about installing this software for a legal case management. Basically I have a few questions that I was hoping someone, who may have used this software for similar purposes, would be able to help...

For the individual cases I'm looking for a system that I can upload all post, related documents (e.g. letters, related court documents - of which maybe created externally if there is not a document creator within the software) basically I'm just wanting to be able to upload documents into the case management software so that I can view them in order.

If anyone could help I'd really appriecate it as soon as possible as the new business is looking at be set up relatively soon.

Sounds like the CiviCase component should fit.
You can check it out at http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org. Click on Other -> New Case. Then add an activity and attach documents at the bottom of the form. Repeat.
