Forced Logout - "www" versus no "www"
October 13, 2010, 02:16:07 pm
Good Afternoon,

I am troubleshooting an issue in which all users are logged out 1-2 clicks into their session. Based on what I have read I can only assume that this is because most people have the "www" in the URL but I have noticed that when on Civi the URL has no "www".

Thinking I could solve this quickly I went to settings and then "Update Directory Path". Sure enough our "New Base URL" does not have the www. I added the www and saved however it was apparently reset by the system.

The question is, how do I set it up so everything uses the www? I am assuming this is deep in our initial Joomla configuration or in the core of Civi. Any help would be appreciated.
