3.3 install and downgrade
October 21, 2010, 08:29:45 am
I installed the new alpha1 3.3 on a new site for some testing, then decided time was short and proceeded to uninstall and go back to the 3.2 beta5.  The database troubleshooting doesn't work with 3.2.
Is there a quick repair or does this site need a complete do-over.
apparently I have trashed the database:
[ERROR]
Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
Your database is marked with an unexpected version number: 3.3.alpha1. The automated upgrade to version 3.2.beta5 can not be run - and the 3.2.beta5 codebase may not be compatible with your database state. You will need to determine the correct version corresponding to your current database state. The database tools utility at http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC/Database+Troubleshooting+Tools may be helpful. You may want to revert to the codebase you were using prior to beginning this upgrade until you resolve this problem.

Generally speaking no downgrade path is supported in CiviCRM. I think your best bet is to export your data, start with a fresh 3.2.3 and then import.
