We sent an emails three days ago, and there is no sign that is processed whatsoever. we have tested multiple sendings since then and none have gone through. Our non-profit urgently needs to get emails out to network ASAP, and there is little i can find about fixing the issue.

The test emails work well, but not the actual bulk.

what is the status of them in the 'Scheduled' mailing screen?

thanks, i didnt realize i could sort by scheduled before
message:
"Delivery has not yet begun for this mailing. If the scheduled delivery date and time is past, ask the system administrator or technical support contact for your site to verify that the automated mailer task ('cron job') is running - and how frequently"

first guess is that your cron hasn't been set up (correctly)

best to read the book or check wiki

if you just want to fire out the messages anyhow, you can trigger it through the url eg yoursite/civicrm/mailing/queue&reset=1

and what about stopping an email blast once it has begun, any suggestions?

I guess you could perform 'Cancel' action from Scheduled and Sent Mailings.

you could find 'Cancel' action from 'Scheduled and Sent Mailings' -> selector Action -> more -> Cancel
