Bug or not: Weird things with multiple forms in multiple tabs

If I open two contribution records to edit from the same list of search results, the data from both forms saves to the second contribution record I opened, even if I'm editing the first. To me, this is a serious bug as it causes major data inconsistency issues and if you are moving fast, you tend not to notice. Has anyone run into this before? Is having multiple instances of the same form with different records just not supported? Thanks.

Yes - unfortunately it is has been a problem in many areas, including editing profiles etc - basic rule for now, till a substantive fix appears, is to never have to open at same time to avoid such occurances.

this bug is 70-80% fixed in 3.2

It is now isolated to places where we merge the concept of a "page" and "form" (civicrm terms). Can u recreate on sandbox (3.3) and if so please file an issue. We'll fix in a future release. Might want to consider contributing a patch to fix it
