How to clean up contact/membership data?
November 22, 2007, 03:15:56 pm
I chose to include the sample data when I installed CiviCRM. These fake contacts/members became annoying when I started using real data. Anybody can describe how to efficiently remove all the existing contacts/members?
Thanks!

You have two options:

1. start with a new clean database and lose all custom changes you've made. This is very efficient if you have not made too many changes/imported lots of data

2. do a search and delete of all sample data. this is not efficient but preserves your changes. You might also want to get rid of the custom fields we have created in the sample data
