Import a cuistom date format yyyy
November 01, 2010, 08:55:33 am
I have a custom data Grad Year which should hold a year in YYYY(2009) format.

I have to import Grad Year for around 1000 contacts and am using the Import Contacts. What date format would I use to import a YYYY field? yyyymmdd comes back with an error.

yyyy is not an option in Date Format under Import Contacts.

I tried yyyy-mm-dd or yyyymmdd and it came back with an error.

When I change the date in CSV from 2010 to 20100101 (so to yyyymmdd) the import gets through but the data in the custom field is 1970 and not 2010 as is to be expected.
The same is the case when  I change the CSV value to 2010-01-01.

I have attached the CSV file I am importing and screenshot of the custom data

Sorry, it's a low caffeine day here, for some reason I understood you're asking about custom field format, my bad. :-)
Can you please try to reproduce this effect on demo (http://demo.civicrm.org/) and if it happens there as well, file an issue (http://issues.civicrm.org/)?

Thx,
m

Thanks....I have tested it on the demo site and it still updates as 1970...I have created an issue as suggested.
