Database / Permissions problems
November 23, 2007, 12:32:13 pm
In upgrading both Drupal and civicrm I seem to have created some permissioning problems for my civicrm installation that I can't figure out. Here are the 'symptoms':

These all occur while logged in as the administrator/first user of the drupal installation:
- I can access civicrm, 'administer civicrm' and it's sublinks, 'manage groups', and 'civimail'
However
-I can't access CiviContribute, CiviMember, or Find Contacts. I get blank pages.
-I can access my own contact information, but if I enter another cid in the address bar, I am told I don't have permission to view that contact.

I'm guessing the pages that I can access are available because they don't draw on any contact details to which the permissions have been blocked. I'm not sure where to begin in uncovering what is the source of the problem and suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I don't know if it is relevant, but my Drupal installation and civicrm share a common database.

the blank pages are most likely php errors. can you check your apache error log.

the drupal admin (uid=1) has permission to do everything. we (actually drupal) bypass permission checking for that user
