Default time zones for activities

Really enjoying Civi crm set and install has worked a treat I have one small issue when I schedule calls or events its default is US time zone and we are UK I cant for the life of me find where to change this sure it must be simple and Im just missing it!

any help appreciated

Uses the server OS timezone.
Or you can set in .htaccess - ini_set('date.timezone', '...');
