List of Group members - Profile View... ALMOST!
November 13, 2010, 02:43:11 pm
Need:
Public menu item where members of a specific group (of organizations) can be displayed in a list form.
What i did:
Created a Custom profile, in Advanced Settings specified the selected group for display in "Limit Listing to a Specific Group"
Custom fields were selected for Public display.
Menu item: created a menu item - civicrm Profile View Display
Result:
You do not have permission to view this contact record. Contact the site administrator if you need assistance.
» Back to Listings     » Map Primary Address
Yet!
Back to Listings is exactly what i want. Map Primary Address gives me the next thing that I want, which is google maps of all of the organizations.
**** How can i get to my listings, without the error showing up? ****

First make sure that your profile search, listings and view work properly from the backend. The URL for accessing a profile search form in Joomla will be something like this:

http://yoursite.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/profile&gid=1&reset=1

Replace the gid=1 with the id of your profile (if your profile id is 3, gid=3).
Then when you go to Menu Manager to create the front end link, you should choose CiviCRM => Profile Search (rather than View).
