Really Random! CiviEvent copying hundreds of events randomly

CiviEvent is basically making duplicates of events (in the hundreds) which is showing on our upcoming events page as Copy of copy of copy etc etc.

I thought this was something that one of our users had done accidentally at first, however it has occurred again today, and no one has touched a thing in there - just wondering if anyone else has come up against this bug, and if so what can I do to remedy it?  Or alternatively how can I investigate as to what is creating this weird phenomena!?

CiviCRM does not create automatic events. You might want to check if any other modules that you have installed is creating automatic events.

Most likely anonymous user has permission on "access civievent" and a bot is basically causing copies of the event to be made

Yashodha.  Spot on, have changed permissions and no problems thus far.  Thanks for all suggestions.
