Paypal payment processor not working

Hi
I have configured and set details for the membership form for the paypal standard details.
But when I click confirm contribution then the page then page doesnt go to the payment to the paypal site.
Why is this happening can anyone help
?

If you fill the form then click the button below nothing happens
My settings for the paypal standard processor is  shown in the attached image file
I need to see if I entered all that correctly
also with regards to url for paypal does it have to be https://www.paypal.com
But I dont have ssl on my site
so Please tell me how to process the payments through paypal standard

The most likely reason would be the right payment processor is not selected on the contribution page or 'real-time payment transactions' has been un-ticked. Can you double check?

'real-time payment transactions' has been un-ticked'--   where do i get this option?The payment processror is selected correctly in the contribution page. and paypal details also has been selected i am using this in joomla

everything is ticked for real time payment transactions
for test and live details do i need to enter same details right?\since i am using paypal standard i am entering the paypals site address https://paypal.com and along with the paypal id for my account is that fine? but still i cant proceed to the payment
the button on the page 'confirm contribution' do we need to do something to this too since after filling the form and clicking that button the page returns to the same place?

I'm having the same problem. Would also appreciate any pointers.

MEmbership signup form actually worked for 1 transaction and then stopped.
