Paypal processor standard in Joomla with CIVI CRM

hi i needed to know can we use paypal standard processor in the joomla civi crm edition
Please can anyone briefly state so.
I am getting redirected to the same page once i proceed to make the contribution button so i cant proceed to paypal for making payment
why so?
