Minor Improvement to Export
November 16, 2010, 02:12:13 am
I noticed that when you list event participants, the fee level field has a nice display of the information from the civicrm_line_item table. When the data is exported, it just has the simple labels from the civicrm_participant table. The problem is that without the fee level description field, that label is often useless.

Consider a simple 2 day training where no additional workshop information is collected. A participant can choose to attend day 1, day 2 or both days. There is a member and non-member rate for each of these options. In the export file the fee level field only has Member or Non-Member in the fee level, making it impossible to tell which option the participant signed up for, because that information is in the description field. It looks great in the participant listing, but not in the actual export.

consider using the price set details search from custom searches for this

Great, i didn't know this exists. It gives me a part of the solution.
Can we change this custom search ? (for example to output more fields from the event and contact)
