Hello,

We are an international governing club with many "chapters" throughout the world. We have imported our contacts, who are members of the governing club, but also are members of the chapters. In many cases, contacts belong to the main club, and several chapters.

We currently have this information in our old site. How can we go about getting the contacts assigned with their appropriate chapter affilations? Are their Smart Groups that we can use to dynamically capture this, then a task that runs to add them as a member?

Membership can be inherited by relationships. For eg: You have define a membership type that extends relationship type "Employee of". Then an organization signs up for this membership type. Now when you create "Employee of" relationship for this organization with any Individual, Individual will automatically inherit membership signed up by organization.

May be you can do something like this with Club and it's chapters.
