Smarty variables in CiviMail
November 17, 2010, 11:10:25 am
Based on the wiki page Smarty in Mail Templates I tried to use the smarty variable: {$smarty.now|date_format:'%B %Y'} in a header.  It came through raw, so I tried it in the body as a test, same result.  This variable should be part of standard Smarty as far as I can tell from the online documentation.

Is the current Smarty version and ours different?  I can get put placeholder text in the body for the date, but having it generate at the time of sending would be very cool.
