It means that the online registration is disabled for this event, click on it, enable it and that will be all good.

There are many factors which control that button.

Could you confirm some of them.

1. User should not have already registered.
2. Event Date should not be in past.
3. If event has limit, It should not be full.
4. Event should be configured for online registration.

You might want to hit direct url which gives u access to registration page : http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/event/register?id=1&reset=1

here replaced id with your event id.

this might going to give you more hints.
