Workaround multiple payments for registration

Does anyone have a good work around they have in place that allows them to record two payments toward one event fee.

Example:  Individuals pays 25.00 by credit card and 25.00 by cash

For now, we know there is work on a long term solution, for now we just need to have a way to track the payments for reconciliation at the end of each month.
