Import Issues
November 23, 2010, 08:47:37 am
I am running CiviCRM 3.2 on Drupal 6 loaded on a OSX snowleopard server. Hosting locally solved the import time out issues I was having when it was with dreamhost, but now I am having import errors dealing with the External Identifier.

I am importing without duplicate check onto a clean just laoded database. Despite this I am getting the error "external identifier already exists" on 2500 of the 2525 contact records I am trying to load.

When I looked at the error file it appears that although the import mapping is set correctly that the external identifier field is getting switched with the notes field. Any suggestions?

Upon further examination it appears that during the import there is blank column inserted in the data table that pushes all values one column over, thus replacing the external identifier column out of sync.
