Moved a civi joomla set up, lost all the templating of civi
November 24, 2010, 05:17:17 pm
Moved a joomla set up from one folder to another - now I have no civicrm templating in the backend? Just a plain text set up Please help.

What I have altered:

Fixed it!  Apparentley I was unaware that there are 3 civicrm_settings.php files. (one under components, one under administrator, and one in my site root).  I had missed the one in my site root.  Thanks!

I couldn't find another file in the joomla root, but I did find another file that needed changing -  civicrm.config.php in

/public_html/user/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm

So, to just move a jooomla civi from one folder to another (where the database stays the same) - edit the folder name in these three places:

/public_html/your-user/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

/public_html/your-user/components/com_civicrm/civicrm.settings.php

/public_html/your-user/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/civicrm.config.php

AND

Quote
go to:
/media/civicrm/templates_c/
and delete the contents of that directory.

That got rid of errors - front and back - but I have lost all the templating of civicrm in the back end - how to reinstate them?

Go to http://<your-site-name>/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/setting/updateConfigBackend&reset=1
and verify your  " New Base URL  " & "  New Base Directory " and save.
That might solve your issue.
