I want to debug this, how do I go about it?

Looking at other posts, there should be a log in the upload directory, but I can't find such a log...and yes...the apache server has write permissions to the upload directory.

the log is now stored at:

files/civicrm/templates_c/en_US/ConfigAndLog/*.log

I would first check the callback address and make sure in your apache logs that google does call that url. I assume u r on a public IP address
