Email error: domain not set?
November 26, 2010, 08:13:12 am
 ???
Hello... I am a first time civicrm user and I use it with Joomla. My question is this: when I try to set up a mailing it gives me this error:

Quote
The following errors were detected in html message:

    * This message is missing a required token - {domain.address}: Domain address - displays your organization's postal address.
    * This message is missing a required token - {action.optOutUrl}: 'Opt out via web page' - creates a link for recipients to click if they want to opt out of receiving emails from your organization. Alternatively, you can include the 'Opt out via email' token.

I went to Administer CiviCRM » Edit Domain Information just as it says in the manual, and the domain name is there. BUT.. it says 'domain name' and then explains it wants just the name of the organization. I tried putting the name of the org and it gave me same message. I tried putting the actual domain name ....org and it gave me also same error.

What am I doing wrong? Help would be greatly appreciated.  :-*

Ok I figured it out. It is just putting the actual tags {domain.address} in the text asnd same for optout. Fantastic. Now I am trying to figure out the cron job. Sheesh!! shouldn't it just do it automatically as soon as I said send immediately? why is there an immediately if I still have to assign the cron job?  ??? ::)
