Is there a Token to Add a Link to View Email in a webpage?
November 29, 2010, 09:18:55 am
Hi,
I would like to insert inside Mailing a token to open email in a web page, to get something like this:

"Can't view the email properly. Click here for the online version".

Is it Possible?

I watched that in Report Mailing there is a Link to open email in a webpage.

Thanks.

only way we have managed the above is to create a drupal page with a web version of the newsletter, and use a standard hyperlink at the top to go to it.

This would be a neat little feature for a future version. I'm just considering the pros and cons of migrating my customer away from Simplenews and onto CiviMail, and often its the small things like this that make lots of difference forthe customer in terms of usability day to day.

This has come up a fair amount on the forums in the past and would be a great addition to CiviMail. Would be great if someone could investigate and contribute code towards this and/or we could potentiall post it as a make-it-happen for 3.4. i think this will come under the small projects category (< 20 hours)

A related effort is frank's work on getting views to build a listing of mailings which would also be a nice addition
