Quirk with qmail, CiviMail and Postini
November 29, 2010, 09:36:44 am
Hello we are using Google Apps for Education and Postini for our email provider.  We a virtual web server and use that SMTP to send mail from CiviCRM.

Our email is delivered to everyone except people at our domain (so we do not receive copies of contribution reciepts, etc).  I spent a few hours on the phone with people at Postini and did some testing.  Mail sent from our SMTP server is able to be delivered to our domain email accounts.  However, it is not delivered when sent via qmail.

Does anyone know how to fix qmail so that it can deliver to postini?

Thank you, Philip

hey phillip:

a few questions:

1. how does qmail fit into the picture? not sure i understand that part

2. Can you check your smtp/qmail mail logs and see what the response is from postini when an email is sent. Might let you know if postini is rejecting and why
