Adding custom fields to events registration
November 29, 2010, 10:07:25 am
Hi

I found a couple of posts about that problem, but none could answer my question...

I want to add some custom fields to the event registration's form. So, I created a custom group and added several fields in it. I attached the group to Participants.
Then, in the event registration configuration, I selected the Participant section to be added.
But, I can only see the custom fields in the admin when I add a participant.
On the client site, I see the standard fields for a participant (first name, last name...), but no custom field is displayed.
In Drupal permissions, "access all custom data" is checked for all the user types.

What did I miss.
Thanks

You need to create a profile with participant custom fields and then include that profile for online event registration.

For how to include profile check: http://en.flossmanuals.net/CiviCRM/CiviEventsConfiguring

I did that. I created a profile "Participant (member)". When I create the custom fields group, I associate with "Participant".
In the registration form, I can see the 3 fields, "First name", "Middle name" and Last name", but not the custom fields.

Are you checking the form as anonymous user? Can you check if you have given anonymous user permission for "access all custom data"?

Yes, I have the permissions set in Drupal.
