Custom "new contribution" form based on role

Is there a way to set up a copy of the "New Contribution" form that is the default form for certain roles based on the logged-in user?  We would like to be able to simplify the form for volunteers doing contribution data-entry.

Have you considered using Offline contribution entry form?
