EmailProcessor.php ignores email -> no processing, no activities

Rank Civicrm/Joomla newbie.

My setup:

Civicrm 3.2.5 running under Joomla 1.5.20
Administrator contact has a work address of worker@working.com and a billing email address set to polling@otherserver.com

I've sent in email to polling@otherserver.com, cc worker@working.com from a third email address, in hopes of creating an activity in Civicrm.

The output of http://myjoomla.com/administrator/components/com_civicrm/civicrm/bin/EmailProcessor.php is
"fetching 50 messages retrieving message 3 setting 3 as seen and moving it to the ignored mailbox got to the end of the mailbox "

Since I've sent a total of three messages to polling@otherserver.com, the 3 count is reassuring. However ....

Unfortunately, all three of these email messages have been "ignored" by Civicrm.

I would expect to get an activity created in the Administrator contact, but I see no new activities for today anywhere in the system.

Where else - beyond the result of EmailProcessor.php in my browser - can I search for debugging info?
What other documentation is available for this email->activity feature, beyond http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC32/Autofiling+email+activities+via+EmailProcessor ??
