Hello,

We are attempting to allow non-members to still register for the site. The reason for this is there are some non-member users that will need content control.

I would really appreciate any insight on how we can allow registered users and members. We have included a "no thank you" option under membership in the join/register form. We are using 1.5.x with the OSE MSC ACL. (which, btw, is a huge pain to use). We already know that a custom script will need to be made to handle new users being synced between Joomla, CiviCRM, and OSE MSC.

I think i found the answer, but need someone to verify this for me.

Basically, i should disable the CiviCRM Authentication plugin and use the Joomla Authentication plugin instead. This would no longer prevent non-members from logging in after they have registered. Can someone verify this for me? Are there any negative side-effects i should be aware of?
