Poor Performance for non-Admin users
November 30, 2007, 07:57:22 pm
I noticed a massive reduction in CiviCRM's performance since upgrading to 1.9 for users other than the fully-priviledged Administrator, particularly in relationship to the Manage Groups page, etc.

The server stalls for a long time and even generated a MySQL error and no ouput for one of my users. (Unfortunately, i don't have the error, if I can get it again, I will post.)

I suspect the problem is related to ACLs, which I use extensively.

Any ideas on what might the problem, or how to track it down?

Thanks,

Matt

Perhaps it is related to the above.

Unfortunately, I am using a Smart Group, which it seems may be the probelm, or a contributing factor.

I must use a Custom Field + Smart Group in order to get around the limitation that profiles will only add a created contact to one group. Is there another way to use a profile to get a created contact into two groups, without rewriting code?
