Offline Receipts show me as the from instead of organization

Offline receipts show myself as the FROM party when the email arrives.
Online receipts show my company as the FROM party when the email arrives.

How can I get the offline receipts to show the correct from?

Could you please give some more insight on which receipt are you talking ?
( Contribution/ Event Registration/ Membership Signup )

Recently ( v3.3 ) we did some improvements for from email address for offline event registrations.
Related issue is here : http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-5967

For Contributions/Membership signup you need to change at core files.

It would be great if you contribute the code  :)

What I am talking about is the From Party is the admin that is logged in, it uses their email address instead of the FROM address that is listed in the setup page.

We are moving (slowly) so that all email's generated have the option of specifying who the FROM address should be (either the system FROM address) or the specific user.

We have not yet modified the offline contribution (and i suspect event registration forms).

If you would like to work on this, please ping us on IRC and we can help you get started. Would be great to clean this up across all Civi email
