Inviting Organisations
December 07, 2010, 09:08:24 am
We'd really appreciate the ability to invite organisations, rather than individuals to events.

Or, perhaps alternatively, the ability to invite nameless guests, who aren't contacts.

(We can't know the names of the vast majority of people who come through our doors, though we know who they are with/from. The numbers are far too high vs the number of staff that entering John/Jane Doe for each individual isn't feasible)

-Thanks!

Hi,

By invite, you mean sending an email? You can already do that with civimail with organisations.

Could you detail what you're trying to achieve? Not sure I understood

Sorry I should have experimented further before asking; I can now see that you can register organisations if you use a different method to the one I'd been using.

- Going to the event page, and clicking register now doesn't seem to let you register organisations. (and saying your registering a number of people but then skipping their details results in only the people you didn't skip the details for being registered).
Might be better to change the register now button to just forward to a register new participant form (maybe with the relevant event pre-selected).
