Drupal 7?
December 07, 2010, 02:25:37 pm
I was looking around, but didn't see anything on this.

What is the status for CiviCRM working with Drupal 7? They released RC1 almost a week ago and have said that a release could come within the next week to week and a half. I have a smaller site that is in production right now and they're interested in going onto 7 before we launch. However, I wasn't certain on the status of CiviCRM working with it.

Thanks!

D7 will be supported by Civi 4.0

we hope to have a D7 alpha/beta 4-8 weeks after D7 is released. A fair amount of work is already done and present in svn:

http://svn.civicrm.org/civicrm/branches/trunk.d7/

if you'd like to investigate and help test / patch pieces that are not working.

Thanks. I'll see what I can do about getting an install of D7RC1 and see what I can do with Civi4. I'm not good enough with that kind of coding to patch, but I can test things out. Just gotta get these few other things done first.

Great - my site is not yet public so I may be able to do some beta testing.

How possible will it be to upgrade from 3.3 / Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 / CiviCRM 4?
I mean the drupal 7 is easy it is the civi part I am curious about.
I remember drupal 5-6 and civicrm 1 to 2 (or was that 2-3) was very hard.

Thanks

Will Drupal7's ajax support be carried through to Civi's forms and profiles? I didn't see anything on the wiki page about that.
