Website info not importing, mismatched fields?

Hi,

I am readying up to import all my organization's contacts into 3.2beta5 and everything looks good except the Website field. Even though the import matching lines up correctly on a small test import, no information is being saved regarding the 'website' field. It looks to be a problem with the import field matching in 3.2 for the 'Website' field not having the secondary dropdown for the fields 'main, work, facebook, twitter' etc. Those options are on the contact summary page but not on the import page so nothing is being added on import.

I checked out the sandbox 3.3 and the dropdown appears there for the website field. Does anyone know of a quick fix to get it working on 3.2 without upgrading? Currently I do not have access to upgrade CiviCRM so I need to find a workaround to get this working before our scheduled mass import.

Hi,

Afraid that the "beta" was there for a reason. you might want to check the issues.civicrm.org, find the relevant bug report and try to backport the fix. Not sure that's going to be easier to upgrade, and I'd suggest to postpone the import after the upgrade.

If you don't have access to upgrade, then you won't have access to patch any PHP files either. The smartest thing, without question, is to upgrade. May indeed be the only solution.

Thanks for the info. Based on what you two said, I pleaded with the site admin and he has agreed to upgrade. If I keep asking him for upgrades, he'll get sick of it and surely give me ftp access!
