Time being displayed in custom data field even though time format is set to none

This isn't a big issue, but it's been something that has been annoying me for a while.

With a custom data date field, the time is always displayed even if time format is set to none.  I've verified this in the demo site as well.

Is this a bug or am I missing something.

its a bug. i think a few others have also mentioned this. Not important enough for anyone to patch as of yet :(

I have got it on my list for a project, but with a low priority. So if no one else does, I will probably provide a patch somewhere in Feb 2011 ;D
