2 "CiviCRM Upcoming events" in Block
December 16, 2010, 09:59:44 am
Ive recently just installed CiviCrm.  In the block menu I have:

CiviCRM Upcoming Events   &
Upcoming Civicrm Events

They conflict. Possibly I installed the event module in addtion to what was included in the tar?

The first one is defined in the codebase (/CRM/Core/Block.php), is defined when the CiviCRM modules is enabled, and is the one I see on our demo install etc. The 2nd one might be related to a CiviCRM Events "View" that was defined by someone??

Yes I believe the 2 are there because I installed civi event block module.  I turned it off and now I only get one.  Do I need the civi event block module with the newest version of civi?

I'm not familiar w/ that module. I suspect u don't need it if the block included in the core codebase is working for you :-)
