Using existing drupal content in CiviMail newletters - experiences?
December 20, 2010, 06:06:13 am
Hi all,

I've been running civicrm for a while now, but have just installed and configured the civimail component, to use for our newsletter. I've used simplenews previously and was impressed by the ability to select existing content to include in mailings (node teasers that link to online content). From what I can see there is nothing similar available in CiviMail at present, does anyone have experience of doing this?
Does CiviMail play nicely with any other modules (such as simplenews or enewsletter) which could be used to create the content, which I then send out using civimail?

Any thoughts or experiences with this?

Many thanks,

Durruti

there used to be a drupal module called ninjitsu (or something like that), which would allow you to compose a civimail letter by collecting various nodes. I dont think that module was maintained  / upgraded since D5 / Civi2

you can potentially use one of the other modules to create the content and then store the final html in a file, which u can then upload to civicrm. thats probably one simple but possible workaround
