Merchant Config Issue
December 29, 2010, 04:54:42 pm
Background info: The site am working has a .com & .org. When the API sig for paypal was created it was for the .org. Now I need it for the .com which is where I THINK the problem lies.

I went to PROFILE>API SIGNATURE in Paypal and copied the information. I ran through a 'live' version of a contribution page used for membership payments. After the info was filled and the transaction began, I received the following error.

Code: [Select]
Payment Processor Error message: 10501:Invalid Configuration This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration.
Is this due to the signature issue with paypal?

Possible, also check if you have correctly entered credentials for the payment processor in CiviCRM

I suspect it is more paypal side rather than CiviCRM.

IMO recently there are some problems for paypal merchant accounts configuration.

configuration error might belated to your account is not correctly configured for website payment pro
or does not have properly enabled DPRP.

you might want to jump / search in paypal developer forum which might going to serves the needful.

i will definetly goto the paypal forum. Although, I think the first thing am going to do is make another API key. Am sure that the credentials are correct as I copied and pasted them straight from paypal. I really don't think its a civi problem either but lets see what comes of paypal.

Ok, I tried the paypal forum and no avail. I couldn't get a finite answer... I have a feeling that it's the paypal API url for some reason. I currently have the default url set from civi. Is it possible to be able to pay with a CC without logging into paypal through the current standard or express setting in civi?
